Giving Online to our Funds

  • Religion Department Fund
    This purpose of this fund is to support the general needs of the Religion Department, including travel, equipment, social events, graduation ceremonies, and awards.
  • William L. Power Scholarship Fund
    The William L. Power Scholarship in Religion has been established to provide scholarships to Junior or Senior level undergraduate students majoring in Religion who have in interest in Theology and Philosophy of Religion. See further here.
  • Jewish Studies Support Fund
    The purpose of this fund is to promote the Jewish Studies Program in the Religion Department by providing support for guest speakers, events, and students in Jewish Studies.
  • Arabic Program Support Fund 
    Provides support for the Arabic program within the Religion Department. Support shall include, but not be limited to, supplies, equipment, travel, student/faculty support, operational needs, awards, prizes, student events, ceremonies.

The Endowed Professorships, the Ann and Jay Davis Professor of Jewish Studies and the Covenant Foundation Distinguished Professor of Jewish Studies, were made possible by generous donations from Ann and Jay Davis.  Mr. Davis is a trustee of the University of Georgia Foundation and is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of National Distributing Company, Inc. The Davises, who are graduates of the University of Georgia, are nationally known leaders in Jewish education and are the founders of The Alfred and Adele Davis Academy, an accredited Reform Jewish Day School in Atlanta.
