WILLIAMS, Josiah Meigs Distinguished Professor of Religion Williams has published more than 25 scholarly articles and four books, including From Mounds to Megachurches: Georgia’s Religious Heritage, which was published by the University of Georgia Press in 2008 (and reprinted in paperback in 2011). Williams holds the Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professorship, UGA’s highest teaching award, and has received several additional recognitions of his teaching including the Richard B. Russell Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching Award.
