WILLIAM L. POWER is Professor Emeritus of Religion at the University of Georgia. He received his B.A.E. at the University of Mississippi and his MDiv and PhD at Emory University. He has published in the fields of historical theology, systematic and philosophical theology, and philosophy of religion, and his works have appeared in monograph form, as chapters in books, and journal articles. He has served on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of the American Academy of Religion and the International Journal for Philosophy of Religion. He is also past president of: the American Academy of Religion, Southeastern Region, and the Society for Philosophy of Religion. He taught courses on historical, systematic and philosophical theology, and philosophy of religion.
